Animated Video with Nick Navatta

Animated Video with Nick uses straightforward, clear, and compelling storytelling with one-of-a-kind novel concepts and characters that stick. The videos we create are a combination of simple 2-D animated art + motion graphics + Nick Navatta’s creativity.

Video Project Roadmap

Project steps will vary depending on each projects unique needs (i.e. you may need scripting help, you may not).

*All projects are custom, supervised, and lead by Nick Navatta*

  • Creative Discovery. We’ll discuss and gather initial ideas and inspirations. We’ll get clear on your big ideas, your audience, and discuss styles and possible storylines.
  • Script. Your script is translated into a compelling story. After we submit the script, you’ll request needed revisions to finalize the script.

*We’ll also hire the voiceover talent, as applicable.*

  • Storyboard. With the script finalized, we’ll create a storyboard. I’ll provide you with sketches alongside the script to give you an idea what the video will look like.

NOTE: The storyboard phase is the time to offer final feedback on script and illustration styles. After this, revisions become very expensive to make.

  • Animatic. We will line up the rough-sketched storyboard cells to the sound or voice track to give you a rough video preview before we start the illustration and animation process.
  • Illustrate. I will transform the storyboard sketches into finished illustrations. You’ll provide feedback.
  • Animate. We’ll work on animating your video project in a program like Adobe After Effects (which can take anywhere from a couple weeks to several months depending on video length and animation complexity) OR we’ll video record the illustration process (for a project like whiteboard video), which would  take 1-5 days.
  • Sound Editing. We’ll add final sound fx tracks, a music track, and other finishing touches.
  • Delivery. The final video will be delivered and/or uploaded to you.

The timeline for every video we create is different. Small, short projects take 2-4 weeks, medium length and sized projects take 1-3 months, and large, long projects take 4+ months.

Animated Video Pricing

Instead of flat-rate pricing, we work on a variable pricing scale that factors in your budget, the intention and use of your video, the type of animation you prefer, and other factors.

Most quoted projects range in between $2,000 – $10,000. Reach out below and I’ll provide you with a quote for your unique project.

Animated Video with Nick - Video Types

Animated Explainer Videos

An animated explainer video is a video that explains your product, service, or ideas in a compelling and engaging way using visual graphics that best illustrate your message.

This is our flagship video offering. We have a knack for bringing new clarity to your message, crafting engaging characters and storylines, and we use the graphic style that supports and spotlights your brand and message.

And if you like humor, we’ve got you covered there too.

Whiteboard Animation Video

A live-action hand holding a marker while drawing on a whiteboard? Check.

Whiteboard Animation Video is exactly what it sounds like-It’s hand-drawn animation on a whiteboard background.

At Navatta Studios, we use this traditional approach when a client wants that classic but engaging style of a live-action hand drawing in-time to a voiceover. These videos just engage people and they do it well!

We don’t use software or import ‘fake hands’ to do the drawing (It’s the hand of one part of Navatta Studios,Nick Navatta), and we work to create unique graphics only relevant to your specific message.

We’ve done a few, check ’em out!

Animated Podcast and Talking Head Videos

Podcasts are more popular than ever and adding a visual storytelling element to your podcast or content message can only spread engagement and awareness of the content you create.

We do our best to bring a new dimension to your podcast and it’s message. Whether you want to turn yourself into a character or illustrates some of your best ideas, Navatta Studios can work to figure out something that will ‘stick’ with the audience you already have.

Animated Summary and Review Videos

Years ago, Nick Navatta of Navatta Studios was a pioneer in the online animated book review and summary space. While working as Creative Director for software company Callibrain, Inc. he created over 30+ videos that have garnered over 3 million views and counting.

If you have a new book,  an already popular book, or just a lot of information that you’d like to condense into an animated review-we may be able to help!

Check out a few samples of our past work on  this now oft-referenced online collection of animated summary and review videos.

Original Animated Ideas & Remix Animations

At the root of our original idea and remix animated videos is our value of uniquely seeing, playing with and interpreting ideas.

Creativity is a high value for us and we strive to create new and memorable ideas that stand out-whether that’s for ourselves or for a client.

From creating original characters that deliver ideas to taking valued ideas like those found in popular books and spinning them in a new light, Navatta Studios likes to apply  our own creative vision to things!

Animated Music Videos

Navatta Studios even occasionally wades into creating animations for music videos.

Yep-we love music too and music videos are usually projects that invite a lot of experimentation and play. We like to do both!

We’ve only done a couple but check out our videos below.
