nick navatta - In-person graphic recording and Digital sketchnotes
Graphic Recording is the art of visually drawing out the most important, relevant ideas from presentations and conversations-whether live or in studio. Graphic Recording can also be known as ‘Sketchnotes’, and can additionally be created digitally (i.e. using an Ipad ) and remotely.
We offer live, in-person graphic recording services for San Diego graphic recording events and will travel locally for Las Vegas graphic recording events and Los Angeles graphic recording events.
For In-person Graphic Recording events, we offer two approaches:
•A traditional approach using markers and foam core boards on an easel(s)
•Or, using an Ipad, a digital approach to project a digital canvas onto an event screen.
If your event is virtual or in a distant city, we also offer Remote Graphic Recording services for your event or meeting.
Another type of event that we love being involved with is conference booths and facilitated mural creation. With our many years of being involved with longer, complex creative projects designed to create engagement, we excel at creating visuals that will engage and grab attention at conferences or special events.

Clients We've Worked With
Angela And nick Navatta: A 2 - For - 1 gRaphic Recording Team
A benefit we can offer to clients that larger companies cannot is an affordable and unique ‘2 for 1’ Graphic Recording approach.
Whether you just want Nick working as your graphic recorder and/or you are open to having TWO people serve your event’s needs, we will still quote the same price for you .
Our 2-for-1 approach includes the main person drawing, a Graphic Recorder, and a back-up support person that we call a Support Recorder.
Nick, the Graphic Recorder, does the drawing and visual note-taking at your event.
Angela, the Support Recorder, takes back up notes, researches words and spelling, takes photographs that the graphic recorder cannot, and helps with pieces of the drawing process. The Support Recorder also acts as a liaison between the Graphic Recorder and any outside communication
The benefits of having both a Graphic Recorder and a Support Recorder on location include more complete and higher quality artwork, more accurate and precise notes, faster drawing time, and it leads to more engagement for your company when in client interfacing situations (i.e. conference booths).
And again, we don’t ‘double the price’ to have us both on location and working for you-we price comparatively to other practitioners in the graphic recording field and work to stay flexible while focusing on delivering as a team!
Our Graphic Recording Fees
Pricing depends on your unique event but we have three flat rates: Basic, Half, and Full-Day events. Our pricing begins around $1500.00 per day for the smallest engagement and goes up from there.
We price differently for events that call for a traditional approach (foam core boards + markers) than those that use a digital approach, remote events, and for events that require travel to different cities.
If you’d like a specific quote for your unique event without having to get on the phone or video to start, please provide the following when reaching out:
- What is the location and date of your event?
- How many total hours of drawing + being on location are you looking to hire for? (Please specify if you’re looking for multiple days)
- Explain your event and what you’d like created? (Examples include: Visual notes for presentations, live graphics at an event or conference, or something else unique)
- Do you want traditional media (Easels, boards, and markers) or digital media (Ipad + projection onto a screen)? Or are you looking for remote notes? (Digitally captured visual notes created in a different location than your live event and streamed to a screen(s) at your event)
Thank you!
Nick
